Our giving back efforts have always been led by our company’s greatest asset – our people. The Employee Match Program is a significant benefit for employees, and one of the many ways employees can make a difference at Constellation. To align with our business goals and stakeholder interests, better reflect our company values, and more directly address pressing societal needs, Constellation is supporting these organizations through national partnerships or multi-year commitments.

In honor of Juneteenth, and in partnership with Pacifico and the AASCEND BRG, we are encouraging contributions to Outdoor Afro. Juneteenth commemorates the anniversary of the day the Emancipation Proclamation was enforced and the subsequent freedom of enslaved people in America. In partnership with Pacifico and AASCEND, we are proud to support Outdoor Afro. Outdoor Afro is a non-profit organization present in 42 cities across the U.S. whose goal is to increase inclusion in outdoor recreation, nature, and conservation. Your contributions to Outdoor Afro can help achieve these goals through lowering the traditional barriers of nature participation, increased advocacy for black representation in the outdoors and conservation communities, and organized networks of black leaders, scholars, and community members. We not only encourage contributions, but also invite employees to get outside and enjoy the sunshine in support of Outdoor Afro and Juneteenth on June 19th and 20th using the Virgin Pulse app. Employees who log at least 10,000 combined steps over June 19th and 20th will earn 250 Virgin Pulse reward points, and employees who log at least 15,000 steps will earn an additional 500 points, for 750 total potential reward points over the two days.

Torrential rain led to devastating flooding in states in the central U.S., including Tennessee. Hurricane Ida, which made landfall in Louisiana, brought powerful winds and rain that spurred dangerous flooding and widespread power outages along its path which included, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York, among other states in the East.
